Police say they documented themselves holding it. Officers recovered the weapon in open ground near Shfaram in September during a targeted operation involving Galilee Yasam and Northern District units. Investigators initially questioned two suspects, then uncovered a third alleged participant who had also recorded himself holding the weapon, leading to his arrest. Police suspect the weapon reached the men amid a violent feud between criminal organizations operating around Shfaram, Walla reports. The reported charges concern possessing, carrying and transporting the weapon—not an established finding that the defendants personally stole it from the IDF. Prosecutors filed the case in Haifa District Court and requested that all three remain detained until the end of proceedings.
