AIPAC donated millions to 26 Florida candidates for U.S. Senate and Congress, according to new reporting from the Tampa Bay Times. Public FEC trackers put total pro-Israel PAC money to Florida’s current congressional delegation at about $7.65 million. Every sitting Florida member has received some of it. According to the Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office, the item was located in Concourse D, Tuesday morning. Fort Lauderdale officials are warning residents to prepare for king tides that could bring flooding to low-lying areas beginning Thursday. Mayor Dean Trantalis said the city’s low elevation and extensive waterways make it particularly vulnerable to tidal flooding, with rainfall, winds and high groundwater levels potentially pushing water levels higher than forecast. The first predicted king tide period runs through Sunday, followed by additional periods later this month and in October, according to the city. Officials are urging residents to remain alert for localized flooding, which can occur outside the predicted tide windows when weather conditions raise water levels.

Cheder Miami More Than Doubles Enrollment As Mayor Visits Cheder Miami just opened Year 4 with 45 students, after starting with only 4 students three years ago. The school has more than doubled almost every year: 4 students in Year 1, 10 in Year 2, 22 in Year 3, and 45 now. More families are still on the waiting list. NTSB Releases Video From Deadly Runway Overrun At MIA The NTSB has released video from Sunday’s runway overrun at Miami International Airport. The footage shows the two vehicles struck by the Boeing 767 after it ran off the end of Runway 30, and the aircraft sitting on its nose well beyond the pavement. Five people were killed. Five others were injured. The plane, 21 Air Flight 7598 operating for Amazon Air, was arriving from San Juan when it overran the runway around 1:53 p.m. Sunday. It crossed the airport perimeter, hit a Ford van carrying airport cleaning workers, then struck an SUV on Northwest 67th Avenue. All five who died were in the van. They worked for Professional Ocean Service Corporation, an airline cleaning contractor. Investigators are back at the scene today, with interviews of those involved scheduled. Florida Scoop’s Take: The video is hard to watch. Five people left for a shift at the airport and never made it home. That is the part of this story Miami should sit with.

A $1-an-hour Miami Beach parking deal sounded like a bargain, but some drivers said the discount disappeared at checkout.
