A 24-year-old woman was fatally shot inside an apartment building in Flatbush late Tuesday night, police said. Officers responded to 2817 Foster Avenue at approximately 11:25 p.m. following reports of a shooting. Upon arrival, they found the victim suffering from a gunshot wound to the neck. EMS transported her to Kings County Hospital, where she was pronounced dead. The victim has been identified as Tatiana Pettus, 24. The investigation remains ongoing, and anyone with information is urged to contact the NYPD Crime Stoppers tip line. All calls are kept confidential. Due to the circumstances of the incident, Chevra Kadisha services were not required.

An attic fire broke out at a home on East 15th Street and Avenue R earlier tonight. FDNY firefighters responded to the scene and quickly extinguished the fire.

The NYPD's 60th Precinct Conditions Team made another illegal firearm arrest after conducting a traffic stop that led to the recovery of a loaded handgun. The suspect was taken into custody, and the illegally possessed weapon was removed from the streets.

FDNY firefighters and other emergency personnel are on the scene of a large fire at Beverly Road and East 16th Street. Sources tell Flatbush Scoop the blaze was sparked by illegal fireworks, igniting multiple trees and a van. Firefighters are working to bring the fire under control.

Eight people, including four children, were injured in a mass shooting in Coney Island late Saturday night. NYPD officers responded to 2929 West 31st Street at approximately 10:30 p.m. and found multiple victims with gunshot wounds. All were transported by EMS to local hospitals. One woman remains in critical condition. The investigation is ongoing.

NYC has issued a Flood Watch from Sunday afternoon through early Tuesday, with 2 to 4 inches of rain expected and a risk of flash flooding on roads and streets across the city. City officials say the heaviest rain and flood threat is expected Monday evening into the overnight hours. Emergency personnel responded to the scene of an MVA involving a bicyclist who was struck at the intersection of Avenue P and Coney Island Avenue.

A suspect was arrested by the NYPD with the assistance of Flatbush Shomrim volunteers on Monday at Avenue K and Ocean Avenue for stealing packages.

An NYPD cruiser was involved in an MVA at Quentin Road and East 7th Street. Flatbush Hatzoloh and FDNY EMS are on the scene, and injuries have been reported.

The NYPD has one person in custody following a motorcycle stop at Regents Place and Ocean Avenue.

Last week, following Shabbos, Flatbush Shomrim was notified about an armed robbery captured on video, as well as a separate incident in which a man followed a woman. Fortunately, the woman was able to safely enter her apartment before anything further occurred. The following Monday afternoon, Flatbush Shomrim received a hotline call reporting a man exposing himself. With the assistance of the NYPD, the suspect was taken into custody at Avenue K and East 18th Street. He was found to be in possession of a large knife, and investigators were able to link him to the earlier incidents. He has been charged in connection with both cases.
