There will be two separate places for the tefillos, one for baochurim and the other for yungeleit. NJ Lt. Governor under investigation – • New Jersey Lt. Governor Dale Caldwell is the subject of an internal investigation by Gov. Mikie Sherrill’s office for alleged inappropriate behavior and possible ethics violations that include the purported offer of state jobs. • Gov. Sherrill doesn't have the power to fire Caldwell. Canada Hits Back With New Tariffs • Canada’s new retaliatory tariffs on nearly $20 billion of U.S. goods went into effect just after midnight Tuesday, escalating the trade war. • US steel, aluminum and iron products, furniture and clothing were hit with the highest rate of 50%, while other consumer and agricultural goods, including motorcycles, cosmetics and cheese, face new duties. • The tariffs follow the collapse of trade talks last month between the two countries, among each other’s largest trading partners. Ottawa and Washington continue to trade blame over the failed negotiations. • Trump and Canadian PM Mark Carney have since traded increasingly sharp barbs, with Trump threatening higher auto tariffs and action against Canadian aircraft maker Bombardier.

New Report: October 7 Warnings Were Rejected • Less than a week before October 7, Shin Bet chief Ronen Bar warned Netanyahu Hamas was preparing “something extreme,” reportedly using the word “earthquake.” He recommended targeting Yahya Sinwar and other senior Hamas leaders, but Netanyahu rejected it. • The Jerusalem Post, citing a security source, reports the account is accurate. It gains significance following a Haaretz investigation that UAE President Mohammed bin Zayed also warned Netanyahu about 10 days before October 7 that Sinwar was preparing a major move that could cause bloodshed and destabilize the region. • MBZ spoke with Netanyahu for 45 minutes and urged Israel to prepare. Netanyahu reportedly said Hamas intended to act in the West Bank and reassured him Israel was prepared. MBZ later raised similar concerns with then-CIA Director William Burns, but Israel’s security chiefs were not informed and were unaware Netanyahu had received the warning. • However, Israeli security officials rejected claims that a different outcome was inevitable had Netanyahu or the defense minister received the information on Oct. 6–7, saying the intelligence picture was incomplete and there was too little time to redeploy forces or disrupt the attack.

He accused “a hostile Labour Government” with “systematically acting against the State of Israel.” • In announcing the sanctions, expected to be in place within nine months, Foreign Secretary Ed Miliband falsely stated “settler terrorists” are carrying out “ethnic cleansing” of Palestinians. On the list of banned items are imports of all goods and services from companies and farms in Jewish communities in the West Bank. British companies are also barred from providing services to Jews of this area, including financing, construction, infrastructure, real estate and advertising. • France and Canada are planning to announce their own ban in the near future, while Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Poland, Portugal and Sweden have pledged to “support further action.” • US Ambassador to Israel Mike Huckabee warned that the sanctions will lead to a response by the Trump administration, saying that “the repercussions are going to be significant.” He asked why the UK wasn’t putting the same kind of sanctions on North Korea, China or Russia. Several states with anti-BDS legislation issued statements that they are looking into the matter. • The outrage was universal. President Isaac Herzog called them a "a gross interference in the democratic elections of a sovereign nation, and a decision that will fall on the wrong side of history." Opposition leader Yair Lapid called it “a wrong and dangerous policy, at the wrong time and for the wrong reasons." • National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir demanded that Israel formally recognize Argentina's sovereignty over the Falkland Islands, which British claims as its own and Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich called for the expulsion of the British ambassador.
